SAILING INTO STORYTELLING
My Story
I am a US Naval Academy and Naval War College graduate, with thirty-two years experience as a Navy surface warfare officer. I served in guided missile destroyers and frigates, and on naval staffs, planning and executing naval and joint operations, including maritime combat during Operation PRAYING MANTIS in April 1988. This extensive experience has provided me unique insight into military life, which I weave into my narratives to ensure they are as authentic as they are compelling.

My Writing Journey
My journey into writing began as a way to express untold stories inspired by my experience. Initially, I kept my identity as a writer a secret even from my family, but by doing so, I missed opportunities to share my narratives and hone my craft. Each book reflects the challenges and triumphs faced by those who serve at sea, illuminating the complexities of the human experience amid conflict. I encourage fellow writers to embrace their calling as we craft narratives that intertwine authenticity, historical insights, and the hope that follows even the darkest storms.
