New Book News!
I'm ecstatic to report that my next novel, In Harm's Way, will go to Laura Taylor, my friend and fantastic editor, on 1 July!
We will work together for a couple of months to finalize a story that has been a long time in the making. I finished the first draft in 2015, over twenty years after I began writing it. I've revised it several times over the past eleven years, but it still wasn't ready. So, I waited. Now, I've attacked it again, and finally, it's ready for professional eyes to look it over and help me make it shine.
Once complete, I will be submitting it to a publisher for release, hopefully late this year. If not this, then early next year.
I'm excited to share this new story with readers! Set during the American Revolution, it asks the questions, what is liberty and self-determination worth? And what will an individual person sacrifice for the greater good?
In Harm's Way is the first book of a trilogy that follows Captain Jonas Hawke as he struggles to support and protect his family in the midst of chaos and enormous change.
It is also the first in a series, titled The Sea Hawkes Chronicles, that will follow the Hawke family throughout American history, as they serve the new nation at sea.
